AdmissionsAdmissions OverviewApplications for students to attend a provincial demonstration school program are made by school boards in accordance with the Ministry's Provincial Demonstration Policy Program Memorandum 89. It is expected that students will have received the maximum level of special education that the board can provide, however, in spite of such intervention and support, the student is not experiencing success. Students seeking admission to our programs must be diagnosed by a psychologist or psychological associate as having a severe learning disability, with or without Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. All students who apply and meet the criteria for admission will be considered for our programs. In the best interest of the student, admission may be deferred for a period of time. Provincial demonstration schools are not designed for students who may need residential or day treatment for mental health or students with learning disabilities who have severe emotional and behavioural issues.
