I am pleased to announce that Amir Mofidi will be joining the Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch as acting Manager, IT Systems effective August 14, 2017. Amir was the successful candidate in the recent Manager, IT Systems competition. He has over ten years of Information Technology (IT) experience and has held a number of IT positions, working most recently as a Senior Solution Designer within the Information Technology and Services Cluster. Amir has an extensive IT oriented education and has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from Ryerson University. Amir has a diverse background in solution design, vendor and project management, has led multiple initiatives and has designed and guided the implementation and support of multi-tiered applications such as Service Ontario, Ontario Tax, MyOPS, Grants Ontario, eSMT and many more mission critical applications. Please join me in welcoming Amir to the PDSB.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Wayne Reeves for his dedication and contribution as the acting Manager, IT Systems. Wayne is a valuable member of the PDSB and his extensive background and knowledge helped him lead the IT team for the past few years.
